Anchorage, Alaska — May 20, 2025 — In a harrowing incident that has left an entire community in mourning, four people were killed following a powerful explosion at an industrial facility in Alaska on Monday afternoon. Two of the victims were discovered hours later under the charred remains of the building, as emergency crews worked through the night in freezing temperatures and dangerous conditions.

The explosion occurred at approximately 2:15 PM local time at the Northern Dynamics Processing Plant, located on the outskirts of Anchorage. The facility, which specializes in processing and shipping raw materials for mining operations, was in full operation when the blast occurred.
