Paul McCartney’s Official Memoir Will Be About…Wings, Not the Beatles! Coming in November…..
Paul McCartney has never really accomplished the task of writing a book or memoir that can be deemed to be finished. In addition to publishing “The Lyrics,” he also incorporated anecdotes about a number of different songs in the book that he wrote.
He was the subject of an official book that was written by Barry Miles, who was one of his closest friends and who passed away many years ago. Regarding the official McCartney book, could you please let me know when it will be released?
In spite of the fact that it is purportedly taking place in the month of November, it is not about The Beatles. Wings and the enormously successful solo career that Paul McCartney pursued after the dissolution of the Beatles are the focal points of the narrative.
On November 4, 2025, WW Norton/Liveright will publish “Wings: The Story of A Band on the Run,” which is an oral history that has been edited and will include an introduction written by Ted Widmer. This publication will take place in the United States of America.
The following is what Paul has to say about the book: “I am so very happy to be transported back to the time that was Wings and to relive some of our crazy adventures through this book.”
It was often difficult to comprehend what it was like to begin over once The Beatles had left the scene. At times, I found myself confronted with really difficult circumstances, and I frequently questioned the decision that I had taken.
On the other hand, while we were making progress, I thought to myself, “OK, this is really good.” Our performance demonstrated that Wings has the potential to become an outstanding band.
The objective is to perform in front of massive audiences, much like The Beatles did, but to have an impression in a different way than they did. There was a lot of buzz about it.
And at this very moment, the production of a documentary about Paul McCartney is now underway, and it is scheduled to be released at some point in the future.
After spending three electrifying evenings at the Bowery Ballroom, it is almost certain that Paul McCartney will go on another tour in the not too distant future with the intention of performing there.
So, how about a whole new record? Never in your life say “never”! “One Hand Clapping” is an album that you should absolutely get if you are a fan of either Wings or Paul McCartney. It comes highly recommended.
In the course of the rehearsals that take place in 1974, Paul and the rest of the gang perform well-known songs in a live setting that is fluid and adaptable, arguably even more so than the recorded versions of the songs.
